Explore, Experience and Evolve with Colours

My favourite colour is yellow, the moment I see yellow, it brightens my mood though I am not a fan of turmeric milk.

Green isn't my favourite colour, but a colour of nostalgia as I grew up in the northeastern part, the greens of the banana plant, the greens of the assam tea gardens enroute Silchar Airport, the green of the decaying ponds(pukur) in Kolkata, reminds me of my childhood memories!

I wanted to use all my colours that I bought during my architecture school, so this is a piece where I let myself flow with rotring brown ink and black waterproof ink.

This is a piece where I let myself flow with haldi and rotring brown ink with Hans Zimmer's Interstellar's main theme instrumental.

I tried to make swatches of colours and some composition...
I wanted to use up age old poster colours

I started off with black to white. On the left side i was doing something like the delaunated structure. On the right handside i made colour swatches with a vast landscape.

Exploring tints and shades of yellow, though i feel colours coukd hv been much better.

Like black and yellow, i then tried to explore tints and shades of red. Here, colours came out much better.

As I mentioned before, i wanted to finish up my poster colour bottles so that i can buy new stuffs. I just made few boxes, and stared doing patterns.

The final product.

Explored, experienced and evolved in the understanding of colours as i practiced more.

With above exploration of making composition, as i put colours one beside the other or make one shape alongside the other, i observed how the colours interacted, could observe the balance in colours, the tints ans shades creating amazing contrast and rhythm of shapes.

Few photographs that made me learn about colours:

I can see voronoi structure in the cracks in the dried up colours. Poster colours seem to have a tint when it gets dried up.

I really love the mixing of colours, as if the colours are talking to each other.

Few colours from Nature:

I really love seeing these babies grow up, the transformation from lemon yellow to light green to more greener methi!!!

At every point of the bougainvillea flower, the pink is so different, yet look similar.

Leaves can also be green!

This looks like as if nature has hand painted it from orangish red to yellow!

Shades of white and yellow. Two of my favourite colours. These two colours are so sooting in nature, seeing these flowers calms me a lot!

If we keep staring at the sky from dawn to dusk, I suppose we can see all the colours.
I just love sunsets.

After this module, colours are just popping up on my head.
